Who are we?
Jigsaw Dublin 15 is part of a national network of Jigsaw Services. Jigsaw Dublin 15 aims to provide a tailored community-based support for young people’s mental health needs. We first opened our doors in May 2013 and since then we have directly/indirectly supported almost 2,000 young people. Our team is made up of professionals with experience in the mental health, youth & community and healthcare sectors. Find out more about the team.
Direct support for young people
Our service in Dublin 15 provides a welcoming space for young people to get information or make an appointment. If a young person wants support, our staff are here to listen, without making judgements, and to provide supportive guidance, usually over the course of 6 sessions. We also provide information and advice to anyone who is worried about a young person in their lives.
We have interpreter services available for young people who may require it when they come to us for support.
Working with our Youth Advisory Panel
The Youth Advisory Panel is an amazing group of young people aged 16 - 25 from the Dublin 15 area who are passionate about mental health. The Youth Advisory Panel ensures that the voice of young people is at the heart of everything we do. Their role is to represent Jigsaw within the community and to make joint decisions with us on the planning and running of our service. Find out more about the Youth Advisory Panel!
Working in the community
As well as directly supporting young people, at Jigsaw we understand that the community is vital in helping to support young people with their mental health. Our Education and Training Programme looks to give people the skills and confidence to help support young people in their own community with their mental health. We offer a variety of workshops for young people, parents/guardians, people who work/volunteer with young people and health professionals. They cater for a broad range of needs, but all have the key aim of changing how we think about and support young people's mental health.
If you’re interested in inviting Jigsaw to give a workshop in your community, email us.
