Thank You 2018
December 20th 2018
It has been an amazing year.
We are overwhelmed by the groundswell of support from communities, pioneers and downright heroes who came together to support Jigsaw in 2018 – in ever more creative ways.
Over 200 brave people stood at the edge of a stadium roof in Croke Park and Thomand Park, took a deep breath, and abseiled through the air.
Wild Atlantic Walkers travelled over 1000km in the softest weather known to man. In three days, over 60 cyclists cycled 480km on the Giro d’Jigsaw across the counties and communities where we provide our services. Hundreds of people ran for Jigsaw on Cork, Dublin and mini-marathons.
80 people swapped birthday presents for Jigsaw donations, hosting Facebook fundraisers in aid of Jigsaw instead of birthday parties. Hundreds of thousands of pastries were eaten across the length and breadth of Ireland (we assume by hundreds of thousands of people).
To all those who raised funds for us this year,
You abseiled off our stadiums, picked pumpkins, jumped out of perfectly good planes, grew itchy moustaches, crawled through mud, dashed trolleys, and, perhaps bravest of all… worn Christmas jumpers.
It is your drive, passion and determination that makes it possible for us to deliver vital mental health support to young people. You are the Jigsaw Heroes, and without you we could not do the work that we do every day within communities across Ireland.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
And a Happy Christmas from all of us at Jigsaw.
