Giving thanks to your One Good Adult…

We're here at Zeminar for the next few days talking about how Jigsaw is a vital support for the mental health of young people, and encouraging everyone to share a thank you to their One Good Adult.

Zeminar is an event that's brought together all those invested in the development and well-being of young people in Ireland to one place. Over three days at the RDS in Dublin, young people aged between 15 and 20, and their parents, teachers, mentors and coaches, are taking part in workshops, talks and activities introducting them to some of the best and most innovative organisations in Ireland.

Along with members of our Youth Advisory Panel, we're here to talk about the value and importance of that One Good Adult in a young person's life, and how we work with young people to challenge the stigma that surrounds mental health, and to develop and build awareness of how Jigsaw and our services support young people.

Saying thank you to your One Good Adult...

We've been asking young people to think about who their One Good Adult is, that one person they know they can turn to for support in a time of need, and write a message of thanks to include on our One Good Adult tree.

You can also take part online by sharing a short message of thanks on Twitter, or maybe a picture of you with your One Good Adult on Instagram using the hashtags #OneGoodAdult and #Zeminar.

Here are just some of the messages of thanks on our tree:
