BoxyMo Giro D’Jigsaw 2017

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in and helped make the BoxyMo Giro D'Jigsaw 2017 happen.

On Friday 29th September, over 40 cyclists set off from Paddy Burke's in Clarinbridge in Galway to cycle 480km across Ireland. Over three epic days, our Giro Heroes rolled along through the rugged coastline of the Wild Atlantic Way in Galway to the gorgeous coast of the Irish Sea along Ireland’s Ancient East, and back again to where they began in Clarinbridge to celebrate their immense achievement. Through driving rain, galeforce winds, and moments of glorious sunshine, nothing was going to stop our gallant heroes from getting their hands on the ultimate prize - a BoxyMo Giro D'Jigsaw 2017 cycle jersey.

Along the way they visited Jigsaw communities including North Fingal, Offaly, Meath and Galway, where youth volunteers and Jigsaw Team members were on hand to give them a cheery welcome, refuel them and send them back on their way.

After the three days, many Haribo had been consumed and more importantly, an epic €50,000 had been raised to support the mental health of young people across Ireland.

Again, a massive thank you to each #GiroHero, and all those who supported the event along the way. Below are some choice pictures from the event, that we thought we'd share with you.

You can still show your support to our Giro Heroes by making a donation online.
