Meet the Jigsaw Limerick Team
Hi, my name is Gerry and I am the Project Manager for Jigsaw Limerick.
I have a background in youth and community work as well as counselling and was manager of a counselling service in Limerick for seven years before I came to work for Jigsaw.
I am excited to be part of developing a new service for young people in Limerick particularly in mental health.
I am married with two children and am a season ticket holder at Limerick FC. I love to barbecue and will often be found getting the grill out even in winter! Steaks a speciality.
My name is Cian. I love sports, music and pizza. I particularly like Munster Rugby, Explosions in the Sky and chicken and pepperoni. I believe that connecting with people can be a special and powerful thing.
I am a Clinical Psychologist and I am the Clinical Coordinator for Jigsaw Limerick. That means that I spend most of my time trying to figure everything out, but mostly end up needing the help of everyone around me to learn anything important!
I am passionate about working with young people and feel privileged to walk parts of their journeys with them.
Cian's Favourite book: How Bad Do You Want It by Matt Fitzgerald, or Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom
Senior Clinical Support Worker
My name is Katy and I am the Senior Clinical Support Worker. I am a Counselling Psychologist and I worked in private practice helping people on a one-to-one basis up until now. I have a huge passion for working with young people. It also helps that I feel I am well in touch with my “inner child”.
I am very excited about working in Jigsaw and working with young people both on a one-to-one basis and out in the community spreading the word of good mental health. I am from Tipperary and love anything active/country like. I also have horses, so if you saw me outside of Jigsaw I would be wearing a pair of wellies and most likely covered in muck and straw.
Interesting fact about Katy: The night I got engaged in Portugal, I played Blackjack for the first and only time and ended up winning more than the pros at the table!
Clinical Support Worker
Hi, my name is Maeve and I’m one of the Clinical Support Workers at Jigsaw Limerick. I’m an Occupational Therapist and have just moved home from London to work in Ireland after five years. I’m really excited to be living back home and also to get to work with Jigsaw.
My work experience to date was in London with a team that is very passionate about working with young people and promoting good mental health. I’m looking forward to continuing some of the same work here and learning all about Limerick City and its lovely people. I’m from Westmeath and love all things film/music and reading related.
Maeve's favourite book: A Boy Made of Blocks by Keith Stuart.
Clinical Support Worker
Hey, my name is Justin. I’m a Social Worker and I work as a Clinical Support Worker with Jigsaw Limerick.
I believe self-actualization for young people has massive potential in terms of them becoming the best version of themselves. This is something I strive to achieve within my work here.
I have a long standing interest in Health and Wellness. I enjoy physical training, eating good food and I’m an avid professional wrestling fan. One might say it’s the child in me that enjoys watching grown men and women wrestle, but it’s not, it’s the adult in me that loves it.
Justin’s favourite band: Rage Against The Machine
Clinical Support Worker
Hello, my name is Ellie and I am a Clinical Support Worker in Jigsaw Limerick. My background is in Social Work and I have worked in the areas of Mental Health and Rehabilitation.
I value the message that as we all have mental health, we all need to work on our well-being. I like getting out in fresh air, walking or swimming - I am originally from County Wicklow where I was able to swim in the sea and I am enjoying exploring the beautiful sights in Limerick and surrounding counties. I also love eating good food.
2 Winnie the Pooh quotes Ellie likes:
‘I don’t feel very much like Pooh today,’ said Pooh. ‘There, there,’ said Piglet. ‘I’ll bring you tea and honey until you do.’
Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind. ‘Pooh!’ he whispered. ‘Yes, Piglet?’ ‘Nothing,’ said Piglet, taking Pooh’s paw. ‘I just wanted to be sure of you.’
Youth and Community Engagement Worker
Have you ever felt the buzz of electricity when a group of young people get together? When I experienced this taking a group of young people to the European Parliament, it made me realise that Youth Work was for me!
I have completed my undergraduate degree in Youth and Community Work in UCC. I have continued to study while working, completing courses in Addiction Studies, Youth Health Promotion and an MA in Criminology. I have worked with Limerick Youth Service, Extern Limerick, Foróige and KDYS prior to joining Jigsaw. I was inspired to work with Jigsaw because of their value to change how Ireland supports young people with their mental health.
Interesting fact about Tanya: I have a brown patch on my left iris.
Hi, my name is Eileen I am the Administrator for Jigsaw Limerick. I have worked in Administration for over ten years in the private sector, but I have always wanted to work in mental health. It feels like a dream to have been given the opportunity to be part of the Jigsaw team. I have a degree in Counselling and Youth and Community Development, and also have studied Travel and Tourism and Holistic Massage. I love music, travelling, photography and painting, but most of all I love my Dog (Oscar) who is the subject of most of my photography. I also love Indian food and going to festivals.
Eileen's favourite gigs: The National in Cork and Editors in Dolans.
