Duck-a-Thon Tralee

What a quacking day it was. Over 500 yellow rubber duckies racing down Tralee’s well know Canal. The event was organised by 5, enthusiastic, driven Transition Year students from St. Mary’s CBS The Green Tralee.

To me, Jigsaw is more than just an organisation aimed at highlighting teen mental health. To me Jigsaw is a community. A community not made up of men in suits, but of young people, people I can relate to and understand. Jigsaw is a community of friends with a shared goal, to help others.

When we were told about the Youth Advisory Panel we wanted to take part straight away as we felt it was a brilliant opportunity to make our voices be heard and to work with other young people who also felt strongly about the issues facing young people all around Ireland today. We felt we would make the youth look better than people think we are.
