Support Jigsaw Galway
At Jigsaw Galway, we believe in working with with communities to support young people's mental health and wellbeing. There are lots of ways you can support Jigsaw and get involved in our work with young people in Galway.
Raise funds
You can support us by raising funds! If you would like to support us by organising a fundraising event in your community, raising sponsorship by undertaking a personal challenge, or asking your school or company to get involved in supporting Jigsaw.
We are here to help and advise you in your fundraising and to provide resources, such as information leaflets, sponsorship cards, letters, t-shirts, or collection buckets.
If you would like to talk to us about a fundraising event you are planning or would like to organise simply download and fill in our Fundraising Proposal Form, see below, and return it to us. We will be back in touch straight away to chat through your plans and provide you with all the support and advice you require.
Join our Youth Advisory Panel
Jigsaw Galway is committed to making sure that young people's voices are heard, and we practise what we preach. Our Youth Advisory Panel (YAP), made up of young people from across the county, works with us to make sure that we develop genuinely youth-friendly services, and that young people are involved in decision-making at every level.
Mary Ann, YAP member since 2007, said “The Youth Panel have been involved in everything from choosing the colour of the carpets in the drop in centre to meeting government Ministers to try and guarantee funding for the service. It was a great feeling being asked to meet two government Ministers, Eamon Ó Cuiv and Mary Harney. It showed me that Jigsaw were serious about our involvement and respected our opinions. Jigsaw even got members of the Youth Panel to interview staff!”
Members for the YAP are selected once a year in the Autumn but you can contact us any time for more information. If you're aged between 15 and 25, and interested in joining the Jigsaw Galway YAP, get in touch.
Spread the word
If you know a friend or young person who needs to talk to someone, then let them know about Jigsaw Galway. Even if they don't get in touch straight away, at least they’ll know we’re here if they want to, and they in turn can pass on the word about Jigsaw to someone else.
