How Jigsaw works

How Jigsaw works

Jigsaw works with, and for, young people. As well as supporting young people, Jigsaw projects involve them right from the start. Young people have a real say in changing how services and supports can work better for them and their community.

Our youth panels are involved in strategy and decision making at all levels. They represent Jigsaw in public, for example to government ministers, and take part in all important decisions such as staff recruitment. They make sure that Jigsaw projects deliver services and changes that are relevant to young people, and their lives.

Jigsaw works in partnership with communities.  Jigsaw projects link young people, local organisations such as youth groups and schools, and local health and social services. Together we can develop new ways of working that will better meet the mental health and well being needs of all young people.

Jigsaw is about building on what is already there. Jigsaw projects aim to reshape existing services to better meet the mental health needs of young people, rather than create something new. We will be working to make sure that young people also have a place to go in their community where they will be supported to find the help they need.
