Project Manager

David took up the Project Manager’s role in Jigsaw in September 2015. He comes from a Youth and Community background having worked as the manager of Blakestown and Mountview Neighbourhood Youth Project for almost 15 years, and as the development officer for the Society of Saint Vincent dePaul Youth Clubs Council for four years.  He has served on the board of NYCI, facilitated workshops towards the establishment of Dáil na nÓg, and was a founder member of Fingal Comhairle na nÓg.  David has long experience with Community Employment Schemes, Community Centre Management Committees, Area Partnerships, and Children and Young People’s Services Committees.

Jenny Hayes

Youth and Community Engagement Officer

Jenny completed her B.A. (Hons) in Youth and Community Work at NUI Maynooth in 2014.  She holds a Higher Diploma in Design Communications from Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dun Laoghaire and a postgraduate Diploma in Advertising.  Since 2009, Jenny has been working with some of the most marginalised people in Dublin as a Social Care Worker with the Homeless Community through Dublin Simon Community, Focus Ireland and as a volunteer Youth Worker with the Barnardos Amplifying Voices programme.  She is passionate about human rights and a Board Director of Uplift.ie Irelands first multi-issue campaigning organisation.  Her proudest achievement in life is her son, she loves festivals and painting.

Administrator

Paula has gained significant experience in administration and office management from the business sector.  Paula holds an honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Dublin Business School and in addition to her role in Jigsaw also works in private practice as a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist with adult clients.

Debra Johnston

Debra Johnston

Clinical Support Worker

Debra is a registered Mental Health Nurse since 2000 and holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Psychotherapy & Counselling.  Before joining Jigsaw North Fingal Debra worked across North Dublin in various mental health care settings, with the majority of her experience being one-to-one work with people in their own homes.  Debra also completed a diploma in Life Coaching and has done many courses including Mindfulness, Behavioural Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Debra has a passion for working with young people and one of her favourite quotes is “We are all on a journey in which we are ALL teachers and we are ALL students”.

Holly Sheeran

Senior Clinical Support Worker

Holly joined Jigsaw North Fingal in September 2015. She qualified with an MA in Social Work from NUI, Galway and holds a Practice Educator award from Middlesex University.  Prior to working in Jigsaw, Holly spent 5 years in London working as a Social Worker for a large family support charity. This included delivering school-based therapeutic interventions to children and young people, using art and play as tools to help improve emotional literacy and to promote resilience.

She has also worked in Irish and UK adult mental health services, and has over 10 years’ experience working with young people and adults with physical and learning disabilities in a supportive and caring capacity.

Jules Thompson

Clinical Co-ordinator

Jules is a Registered Senior Counselling Psychologist.  She graduated with a Masters in Counselling Psychology from Trinity College in 2010.  Before joining the team in Jigsaw North Fingal Jules worked for three and a half years for Pieta House.  In Pieta House Jules was part of the Clinical Assessment team and provided one to one therapy to both adolescent and adult clients who presented with suicidal ideation and self-harm.  Jules has had extensive experience working in the area of Student Counselling, she worked in both Trinity College and IADT’s Student Counselling Service. 

In 2014 Jules managed the Student Counselling Service in the Institute of Technology in Tallaght, she provided one to one counselling to students and ran psycho-educational workshops in the college. 

Jules also teaches Introductory courses on Psychology and Counselling Skills in a number of different colleges around the Dublin area.
