Eyre Sq Yogathon to raise funds for local mental health charities

A fundraising Yogathon is taking place in Eyre Square on Sunday 27th October 2013 to raise funds for two local mental health charities. Yogathon will consist of four 55 minute yoga classes which start on the hour at 12pm, 1pm, 2pm & 3pm. Its €15 per class to take part and all funds raised go to Console and Jigsaw Galway.

“Yoga is incredible in how it has the ability to increase energy levels, enhance one’s mood and ultimately create an equilibrium within the body mind system” said Pauline Rohdich, Yogathon organiser, “It is my intention to create awareness as to how yoga can become part of a person’s life in a very positive way, to help cope and in some cases eliminate stress as the wisdom of yoga brings a new perspective to the everyday challenges”

All participants who would like to take part in the Yogathon must register on the morning of Sunday 27th October. Registrations take place in the Jigsaw Galway drop in centre on Fairgreen Rd (across from the new coach station) from 10am. It is free for children between the ages of five and thirteen to take part in Yogathon.

“Jigsaw and Console are doing wonderful work in the area surrounding mental health and it is for that reason that I feel this new partnership will bring a new opportunity and raise awareness for people with any mental health concerns” said Pauline Rohdich.

Pauline Rohdich trained at The Chopra University, California in The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga and Primordial Sound Meditation. She is a teacher of Radiant Child Yoga, Yoga for the Special Child, Laughter Yoga, Face Yoga and is an energy healer and Soul coach. She holds classes in schools, privately in Monivea and Tuam Co.
