'One Year since Everest' Lecture by Galways first man to climb Mount Everest

The first Galwayman to summit the world’s highest mountain, Peter O'Connell, is giving a public lecture here in Jigsaw Galway one year on from his successful climb of Mount Everest, which he conquered on 13th May 2013. The lectured entitled ‘One Year since Everest’ is taking place on Monday 19th May 2014 from 7pm – 8.30pm in the Jigsaw Galway building on Fairgreen Rd in Galway City. “It is a year since I reached the top of Mount Everest and I am so delighted to have the opportunity to share my experience and thoughts on Mount Everest one year on.” said Peter O’Connell, “I'm also a huge fan of the work Jigsaw do in supporting young people who are experiencing difficulties with their mental health in Galway. I'm looking forward to the lecture and to also walking with Jigsaw on the Tóchar Phádraig in Mayo on 31st May to help raise much needed funds and awareness for their incredible work” The lecture is taking place in the Jigsaw Galway building, which is located on Fairgreen Rd in Galway City (Directly across from the new coach station). It is a free event, but donations to Jigsaw on the night are welcome and doors open at 7pm.
